qTranslate remove warning if language not available, again!

In style.css does not seem to work on excerpts. In the excerpt text the message paragraph is stripped of its class attribute.
Since I do not want to change anything inside the qtranslate plugin folder, I now switched to a regex solution in functions.php

Page with automatic list of categories

I wanted a page that would list all categories for projects in one list and all general categories in another. The wp_list_categories(...) could not be formatted the way I wanted it. So I added a shortcode to list category links with descriptions and count under an optional title.
ToDo: Maybe switch to <ul> or a table for nicer formatting.

The function is used on the topics page.

twentysixteen – Category link under page heading

Add custom field ‘project_post_category’ to the desired pages and store the slug of the corresponding category. Then in content-page.php change the part that handles the entry heading:

twentysixteen – Remove left floating footer

add to style.css

WordPress multilanguage plugins

Many people seem to opt for multilanguage plugins that ‘clone’ all content in the backend.
After about a week trying to get things going, I switched to qtranslate. Now all languages are stored together in the same database entry. Some people claim it might result in problems when moving the site or when using certain plugins. I’m taking that risk. So far qtranslate has been more comfortable to work with. Not perfect but quite nice.
